Spotlight is an intense story following the Boston Globe journalist team investigating the systemic abuse of children by the city’s Catholic priests. Not an easy subject but they handle it well.
Mark Ruffalo and Michael Keaton are superb and are ably supported by Rachel McAdams and Brian D’Arcy James. Director Tom McCarthy manages the cast really well and keeps the tension building all the way through until the end.
