Here you will find various reviews of Films, TV shows, sometimes books and also some longer articles. I’ve always watched a lot of films and TV shows but it is only recently that I decided to do something about it and put my thoughts out there.

In terms of my film tastes I would have to say that among my favourite directors are David Fincher (Se7en/Fight Club/Gone Girl/ Zodiac), Denis Villeneuve (Polytechnique/Incendies/Sicario/Arrival/Blade Runner 2049), and Nicholas Winding Refn (Only God Forgives/Drive/Neon Demon) with also a special place for International cinema, particularly South Korean (Recent favourites being: Oldboy/Train to Busan/The Wailing/Thelma/Raw/Battle Royale/Suburra).

TV shows have come on quite a lot in the last couple of years and there are countless that I could list here, but to name a few there would be some HBO classics like The Wire, Deadwood and Band of Brothers alongside some quality BBC stuff like Peaky Blinders, Sherlock , Happy Valley, Line of Duty and Luther. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video originals are getting better all the time and I am also partial to a spot of Nordic Crime when the mood takes me (e.g. Trapped/Beck/Modus).

Book wise I have a liking for odd or dark stuff: China Mieville, Bret Easton Ellis, Patrick DeWitt, Philip K Dick and more recently S. Craig Zahler. I probably lean towards Sci-Fi more than anything else but also enjoy a good crime thriller every now and again.
